Sales Administration Manager - Serious Climbing Distribution Jobs

Rockcity Industries is amongst the world leaders in the design and production of rock climbing holds for rock climbing gyms and major climbing competition events, with its products being used at the highest level of competition, including the Olympics and Sport Climbing World Cups. Together with our sister company Serious Climbing Distribution Ltd, we have expanded our presence from our UK origins, to establish European companies to help with the international trade and cope with the additional burden of BREXIT.

As part of our expansion, we are looking for a highly motivated Sales Administration Manager to join our international sales and marketing team. The role will be based in Hull, with occasional travel required.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Sales Administration Manager will be responsible for daily support of the sales and manufacturing and distribution activities including the processing of invoices and purchase orders including general bookkeeping, payment processing and reconciliation, compilation of sales reporting, preparing sales materials, and international shipping coordination. This role will also entail the management and coordination of a small team of Sales Administrators.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple projects in a dynamic fast-paced environment.  He or she will be well versed in all Microsoft programs including excel, power point, and word.  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Process purchase orders and invoices for sales and expenditures.
  • Compile and report on daily, weekly, and monthly sales numbers.
  • Work with management to analyse monthly sales and marketing data, working directly with both companies accountants.
  • Manage select vendors to ensure compliance with internal timelines, customs and shipping.
  • Help the team with any client requirements, questions and general support.
  • Update any necessary marketing pieces for our websites and for tradeshows helping with overall preparation (marketing collateral, logistics).
  • Help the sales team in sending out any requested information.
  • Manage and mentor our small team of Sales Administrators as both companies continue to grow rapidly.
  • Desired Career Experience
  • 2-3 years minimum experience in sales and business administration.
  • Experience working in wholesale, manufacturing or retail industry at an international level.
  • Proficient in excel based systems and data manipulation.
  • Experience in book-keeping, ideally in both Quickbooks and Xero.
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to prioritize, problem solve, plan and budget.

The following skill set and knowledge would be considered an advantage:

  • Experience in management.
  • Knowledge of and passion for the indoor rock-climbing industry.
  • Fluency in other languages, such as French, Spanish and German.
