Dave MacLeod Lecture at Deansgate Manchester

Dave MacLeod will be over at the Mountain Equipment store, Manchester at 7pm on Thursday 3rd July for a very special evening focusing on some of Dave's biggest climbs to date.

Dave MacLeod needs little introduction he is without doubt one of the world's top all-round climbers. He established the climb Rhapsody on Dumbarton Rock which, at a grade of E11 7a, was possibly the hardest traditional climbing route in the world at the time, and looks set to be confirmed as the most difficult in Scotland.

In this talk Dave will talk about the draw of the Alpine and Patagonian north faces. These faces are famous for being big, but the appeal of climbing them is that your world becomes smaller. Dave explains why through his adventures climbing some of the hardest routes on the Eiger North Face, Cima Ovest in the Dolomites and the Fitzroy Range in Patagonia.

The evening is in support of Climbers Against Cancer and all proceeds from ticket sales will go to help the charity. Your ticket includes free pizza and beer plus we will be running a raffle to win lots of great Mountain Equipment gear!
