'It was great to see so many people queueing round the block to be the first to climb here. This really is a much-needed facility in the area. People have been so excited about our opening and the feedback so far has been absolutely fantastic.' Says LancasterWall's Centre Manager Ben Mitchell.

LancasterWall is Lancaster's first, and only purpose-built bouldering facility, brought to you by the Lakeland Climbing Centre Ltd. Since opening KendalWall in 1995 we have been providing fantastic climbing experiences and facilities for over 25 years and aim to bring all this experience to our new sites in Lancaster and Preston with our legendary in-house setting team and friendly, professional staff.

LancasterWall has a modern, welcoming feel and features a unique 'Font style' boulder field design. With over 700 square meters of climbing surface with walls of all angles; ranging from shallow slabs to extreme overhangs. In addition to our normal climbing walls the Centre will also feature a traverse wall, modern training area, on-site café and shop. The Centre is conveniently located within walking distance of the centre of Lancaster and train station and has ample onsite parking for those coming from further afield.

PrestonWall opened just a couple of months earlier and is going from strength to strength, successfully hosting the BMC NW YCS round just a few weeks after opening LCC has invested almost half a million pounds renovating, improving, and doubling the amount of climbing on offer to include 500 sqm of bouldering, 700 sqm of rope climbing and multiple Auto Belays.

Receiving praise from Preston's Mayor, Jayed Iqbal, and several of Preston's councillors, PrestonWall is the place to go when the outdoors is inaccessible, or even when it is!

LancasterWall, PrestonWall and the historic KendalWall all benefit from the fantastic 3 Walls – 1 Membership deal, as we share databases across the centres. Anyone with pre-paid entries or memberships can use them across all three sites.
