Sketchy climbing up the South East face of The Souter, a nice sea stack near Berwick upon Tweed.

Just been down to the Souter again and did Seal of approval ,bloody good route!reckon it might push E1 but should be three star any way, better than the seaward face ..and that is a cracking route aswell!

That's a great shot Sean.
Best HVS Andy's ever climbed? I think Andy needs to get out more! It is only worth a star as it suffers from some poor rotten rock on the ledge just above him in the shot. Climb this in spring before the birds and it is OK. Climb it in September before the storms and it is a horrible guano covered nest fest along that ledge. Great climbing all the same though. I agree it is very different to the Seaward Face, but this does stay clean and bird free.

Cheers Ross.
Andy backed of this shortly after the shot as it was falling to bits (the ledge mostly falling off around him) and he wasnt all that pysched to continue..
Im pretty sure its not high up on his list of 'must do' ascents.. :-)
