Ridiculous. We brits are mad, why have this mess? To protect our ethics? If this is our ethics, leaving a visually offensive mess like this, then we are indeed tapped in the head...

Visually offensive to who? You need to be stood next to it to see it.

Visually offensive to me, when I was there last year. Although the amount of tat seems to have multiplied since my visit, and now looks even worse.. Really, is this better than two equalised bolts?
ab tat - 07/Jun/09
Although I 99% hate bolts, don't like the look of them, this is f**king ridiculous. I'd prefer a couple of bolts here than this cr*p

I agree and it's not the first time, I've thought this is pointless . Abbing from trees other descents that cause access issues, significant env damage / danger to others (none climbers). Two or 3 sensibly placed, quality abseil points that dont help top roping routes. Sensible?? or the thin end f the wedge

I think I mentioned this very spot in a forum once and got shot down from the words bolt and better.
thanks Dom at least they can see my point now.

I hope I was not here when this photo was shot. I know there is a bomber nut here and one of the pegs is solid. but hey If you ever get to see the tat on the web at north stack this is child's play :)
