folk on savage slit are kidding themselfs a bit if there looking for a winter ascent!

For what it's worth I think the climbing was probably more difficult getting good gear in due to iced up cracks and verglassed rock than when it is lightly frosted or rimed. This was certainly the case in a few of the other routes that looked black.

it was definatley a winter ascent when i did it. the cracks were well iced up.
