was it 'ring the bell for the caretaker?' and a line drawn to a bell? or was it 'cocks this way,chickens that way?'...either side of the arete?...I think I can see the bell.

Thanks for that. There certainly was some grafitti on a route regarding 'ringing the bell for the concierge', but I thought that one was 'Triomphe d'Eros' - a big corner system. It was plastered in grafitti, in fact! I don't actually remember what was written on Dingomaniaque...

When I did it in 1999 there was an enormous parrot painted on it, IIRC. I must say it didn't look anything like this picture, though, so maybe my memory is wrong.
