I'm trying to work out where on the route this is - is it at the top of the wall section?

This is the steep section at the start of the second pitch, at the top of the small gully. Looking at your photo, I think you belayed slightly further down the gully and to the right slightly. And the ice will have looked pretty different on your ascent as it has probably built up between when this photo was taken and when you climbed it.
