No wind and no dampness so not too bad but I had loads of layers on, I dossed in the car that night and me toes got a wee bit cold. It would have been cold up the Buchaille if they were bivving.

The last time I kipped in the car I lost all feeling in my back, sporty bucket seats do not aid a good nights kip. Good shot but it looks like the longer exposure has made the branches appear out of focus.... the composition and sky is worth a five on it's own though.. spot on.

Most original image of the Buchaille I have seen in years - how long an exposure?

Cheers, the ISO was up 1600 and I was in bulb mode not sure of the exact time it may have been about 12-16 seconds, the stars a still slightly oblong.
