The background is utterly brilliant but there is hardly any foreground . A good foreground should lead us into the photo or even enhance the image. Look at some of the top 200 photos to see what I mean. For eg. a reflection from a small lake in the foreground or textured rocks or snow, or perhaps a figure silhouetted would give the photo that something extra. Hope this helps.

No, I like this one. It's the starkness, the grandeur and unhumanity of it which is so impressive!

I prefer this one too, it has more depth and sense of place which captures the vastness of the area.
