No, took your advice and shot them using raw and then converted them to jpeg.

Excellent, Russell. The next step is to increase the contrast and saturation together with sharpening, which you have obviously started to do. The other elephant in the room is the quality of your Monitor....it's a minefield in many ways but lot's of fun. The main thing with RAW is that you can retain the original image, like a negative, no matter what you do and so still go back to it if you're not happy with the processing you've done!

It was overcast and dull all day, we had just arrived at the CIC Hut when the cloud broke and I only had about 5 minutes to get my shots before it clouded over again and stayed that way for the rest of the day, just lucky to be in the right place at the right time.
