Well Peter, if someone had told you that these things would be free climbed in the future, you wouldn't have believed them, would you?! The aid climb that I seconded here remains one of the most dangerous and frightening things I think I've ever done. We too took all day. Descending the path in the dark with all that ironmongery clanging away...

No, Jon, I would not have believed. Although I do remember thinking that there was the odd hold but stringing them together was preposterous

Not sure, Andy - I think (according to UKC logbooks) it's actually Directissima which is still A2? Or is that just a historical reference?
