at the end of the next pitch he was struck by a breeze-block sized piece of ice luckily he had just tied into a belay, nearly broke his arm tho' dangerous game

actually he did brake his arm as it turns out. Didn't stop him belaying me at Kroakam and even seconding (1 arm dagger style) a couple of WI2s, what a hero.
