Correct - Paul and I had driven up from Sheffield one Saturday morning and bumped into John and Liz in Ambleside. He joined us on a couple of routes on Gimmer and we went on to spend the evening in Keswick. I seem to remember some territorial aggro about seating in the George bar which Paul sorted out.
