Triolet N. Face in 1988. The face has changed since Lindsay Griffin and I did it in 1973. The sérac barrier was then a solid wall and to get onto the plateau above we climbed a couple of pitches up the direct on the rock and traversed the steep goulotte. To avoid the danger of falls from the séracs above which were then much less developed we traversed well right and then up the slope to the right hand point in a complete white out without a clue of where we were. Looks like it's been taken through a plane windscreen? Or is that a blemish on the slide?
