How times change...this was considered HVS 5b in 1978!

Did the start so many times in the 1970s but too lazy to put a rope on and slightly leery of soloing it above (whatever was in?) the pool. Possibly just as well. I know a very good climber who decked out in the pool and broke his leg badly. Fortunately he made a full recovery - but it set his confidence back for quite a while. Almscliffe - never to be underestimated with any route, easy or hard.
