Where's his rope going, Tony?

Hi jon,
I'm not sure which end of the rope you mean, so will cover both ends.
Right end, Paul is just above the difficult climbing and has placed a runner around the arĂȘte.
Left end, to help stop Paul decking out on the boulders at the foot of the arĂȘte if he slipped, Ken Jackson belayed a side rope from the left. If Paul fell, Ken would try and pull Paul into the gully...still think it would be a painful landing but not as serious! Fortunately, Paul climbed it without a problem.

I hadn't realised he was that high on it so wondered what the rope could possibly be through! Great photo, by the way.
