Pretty sure this is Pendulum Variation Finish - at least, that's what it's described as in my very old 920+ years) Scottish Lowlands guide (given a tech grade of 5a), though it doesn't seem to be in the logbooks. I remember looking at it many times when I used to boulder there (pre-pads) - never had the slightest intention of trying it!

That was supposed to be 20+ years! I wasn't climbing when the castle was built...

Thanks for that, I'll see if Steve can confirm. I know he was 'investigating' some other problem in that area which apparently only Dave Mac has done so far. Btw, really disappointed to hear the 920 years wasn't correct! ;)

Yes it's the varaition finish, Called Revelation in the newer guides. Font 6a+ or E4 5c.

For the record Revelation FA http://www.extremedv.net/movs/davemacrevelationmeddl.mov
A straight-up dyno, not the span out from Pendulum in the earlier guides.

I'm doing the right hand finish to Pendulum in Fraser's photo. Using a finger lock you do a large span out to a jug. It's Brit 5c. I was wanting a sniff at Revelations (a direct to the previous problem) but the launch was a bit too much out of my comfort zone. The launch is very much height dependant.
