This is such an amazing shot simply because it encapsulates what alpine climbs are all about...cold, hard, dangerous and they completely subject their suitors to the elements. Wicked photo.

Man, brings it all back. Also in the Vallon de Diable, seconding Repulsion with Morgan Woods (led by Rich Cross) - had to climb it with eyes closed, swinging axes blind. Ended up with my worst hot aches ever...
