Awesome. The route is now clean and open for business for the first time in years. With the demise of the peg at the start of pitch two it feels high in the grade - my excuse for recent failure. We plan to go back soon.

Hi Pete, great photo! Pete S and I did this on Sunday. I got this pitch, which started off OK but ended up as a real battle. Exhausted by the time I reached the stance - about 3m above you in the pic. Great route and hope it sees more traffic now it's clean.

The photo shows me with my arm jammed in the crack which was initially very worrying but after a brief panic I realised I could use it to rest. Above this I had an enormous tussle with the huge blackberry bush
