Two whopping sport pitches close to 40m long now exist in Berry Head Quarry. Well cleaned and fully bolted. Few will have a rope long enough to lower off from the top but a half way belay station is provided. Be very careful about lowering off the end of the rope.
The climbing is sustained and thoughtful.

This might have to be my next post-work evening outing! Is this the only section that is going to be bolted or are there bigger plans for the quarry?
Samuel Wainwright - 01/Sep/16
These were bolted without affecting existing trad routes. There is the prospect of adding the odd bolt to one or two existing trad routes. This could happen next year with the approval of the first ascentionist.
