Excellent shot looks like bare hands on, had a look at the data for this shot and appears to be taken at f22, just wondered if you had applied blurr in lighroom to make the climber stand out or is it as you say ice on the lens that is causing the blurr.

Hi Garbhanach, f22 was completely unintentional. I had my camera round myneck so i probably changed the settings without noticing. Also had lots of ice on the lens and view finder! What with belaying and trying to avoid frostbite in my de-gloved digits, i have to say that not much more thought went into this pic than point and shoot...
