I think you may have your routes mixed-up here, as the picture is of Green Death - not The Great Arete. Also, did Ron ever solo Master's Edge? If so, I'm impressed (but I've never heard of him doing so elsewhere). I'd more imagine it was either Edge Lane or The Great Arete that he soloed, as both are - fundamentally - solos.

Its been a long time. Took these photos in the 1980's. I'm pretty sure your correct on all accounts. I found a note book and two slides. Clearly related and it would confirm your point. I appreciate the help I shall update the info.

He soloed up one edge and down another. I was with an old friend from Sheffield Nick Forwood. His memory may be better than mine.
