But I think not Snell's Field. That came later after everyone was finally thrown off the Biollay, me included around 1966.

Thanks jcw.....Last time I camped in Chamonix was in 1965. I remember it was in a wooded area, that would be the Biollay perhaps.
I am of course posting these photos on Geoff Olivers behalf as he is now unwell. Thus I am unable to check out captions or details with him.
