This smaller, but steep icefall forms about 300m to the left of the main downfall. We walked in and found a few folk ahead of us on the main Downfall, so moved across here for a play before moving onto the main route. I'm not sure if there's a summer route underneath, but it forms regularly as I've climbed it before in about 1995 with Martin "Chinny" Holland and there's another picture of it here, /images/dbpage.php?id=2134
