Very nice shot - where is it? (ie country etc!)
Fraser - 28/Nov/05
is there a filter on that?
Bob Hughes - 28/Nov/05
Southern Utah. No filters - I adjusted the levels a little in Photoshop. The light was amazing as a day of rain just cleared in time for the last 10 minutes before sunset.

Fantastic composition and light. What lens, as a matter of interest?

Fantastic light & texture + a threatening sky. The best picture in your gallery I think. It really is all about beung in the right place....

Umm, thanks Jonathan. A friend emailed me this picture, and it inspired me to visit, just to see if this incrdible feature really existed. Sure enough it did, and finally just climbed this last week.
Fantastic picture!

I always thought the above comment was the work of some fantasist. I had no idea who Crusher was. Just read his Desert Towers book and the whole last chapter is about him climbing it with Andy Donson after seeing my picture. Well I never.
