The named arête is the L skyline leading to the summit. Pic de Vignemale 3298m is visible to the L, above the Brèche de Noeuvielle 2926m. Geologic interest - the 2 notable dykes (basalt ? ophite ?) , one of which leads into the connecting ridge.
