Flipping this upside down has turned a good photo into a great photo - brilliant

Couldn't resist it Michael :-) thanks!

You seem to be walking very nonchalantly, unaware of the menace of those prickly green clouds.
John Stainforth - 05/Dec/21
Brilliant!

Looks like a prog rock album cover? Dark Side of the Moor?
Lankyman - 05/Dec/21
Cracking, creative photo. Thanks

Ah, thanks for the kind comments everyone. 'Nonchalance' was actually the concentration of trying not to trip over; and 'Dark Side of the Moor' will make a good route name (thanks!)!

That’s really brilliant

Actually getting to Black Hill could be a real trial before all those slabs were put down. We had to crawl on our bellies across the mire one wet December in the 70s. A real pleasure these days!
Sean Kelly - 07/Dec/21
Sean, I think (like myself at first) you're thinking of another Black Hill. This one appears to be on Dartmoor.
Lankyman - 07/Dec/21
No indication it was Dartmoor. But much the same terrain.
Sean Kelly - 08/Dec/21
Definitely Dartmoor, chaps. Although maybe it's Blackhill not Black Hill? Not sure. I walked from the normal parking to Black Hill and then Hole Rock (further towards Smallacombe) :-)
