Lead before solo. Not much difference as you’re taking a long swing unless you place gear off route. Crux foot placement quite exposed on solo but not desperate. Just don’t do it in the wet. Also there is no landing. Not that we had pads in 1998 anyway. Got psyched and did To be is not to Bolt (easy E7) with Ben Bransby and a couple other locals afterwards.
