You guess wrong, chum. Opened the bedroom window, locked the shutter open with the cable-release, and gave it a few minutes on each of several exposures, of which this was the best. Original tranny available for inspection in G42, on payment of a small fee of course. Cracker of a storm, wasn't it?

I can confirm that there was a lightning storm on Thursday 4th may 2006 in Glasgow. I saw similar lightning strikes from my window that night to this photo.
