Tom Last - 02/Oct/06Report Wow. Am speachless. That is incredible. And yes, why the hell has someone voted rubish for this.
Streapadair - can we have some details? Camera, lens etc...?
The Bantam - 02/Oct/06Report Streapadair - can we have some details? Camera, lens etc...?
Thanks, all.
Nothing fancy - Olympus OM2, 50mm lens, Kodachrome 25 (it wasn't yesterday), 4 upright trannies stitched in Panavue (Photomerge failed to hack it), colour-corrected and sharpened in Photoshop. Sgurr na Stri - not even 500m high - is magic.

Your beautiful photos continue to amaze those in my office and make my desire to retire to Scotland even stronger - hope you don't mind, it's now my backdrop. Brilliant, cheers

Charles Arthur - UKC - 15/Oct/06Report What a marvellous photo of the 'skyline' of Skye (and lochs) ... makes me homesick for Scotland.
FJC - 21/Oct/06Report One of the few photos I've seen of the Cuillin that convery a sense of what the place is actually like.
idiot - 10/Jan/07Report Still waters run deep. After viewing this site and recalling magic days I've spent in many,if not all, of these sanctuarys I'm especially priviledge to possess a photo montage of your work.
cassie - 13/Jan/07Report After reaching what he thought was the highest point Frodo realised Mordor was still a good distance away!

Absolutely stunning. Makes me proud to be British (as if I'm somehow responsible for such staggering beauty?).
Jon Stewart - 10/Mar/09Report Several times a week when in general conversation be it about Climbing walking or simply photography I tap onto this site chundering on about a fellow called streapadir and several times a week It puts a special smile onto peoples faces, on behalf of them and me it's time I said thanks. Yet again a great shot.
Rustyshanks - 24/Sep/09Report Its about time I said thanks. This photo has been on my desktop for months and looks likely to stay there.
John Nuttall - 14/Feb/10Report A breathtaking picture! Inspired an attempted traverse last year and a successful one this year. Many many thanks.
