A magical view of the Dru after a day of rain in Chamonix.
ChrisJD - 08/Jan/07Report Chris, we may argue over kit, but I won;t argue this is a fabulous shot!
Kudos, in it's correct context.

If there was a wish list to be in the places as the photo was take, then this place would be on mine. Fantastic shot.
Russell Lovett - 08/Jan/07Report It had been raining all day in Cham, then the weather started to break, so we went for a drive. Saw that the Dru was starting to clear (just grey light), but saw that the sun was going to dip below the clouds at some point. Frantic driving around to find a good spot. This glorious light (and it was incredible) only lasted about 5 minutes. I could hardly hold the camera still. But kicked myself all week for leaving my main camera gear back at the hotel. Lesson learnt.
ChrisJD - 08/Jan/07Report Was this photo taken on friday? I was skiing in Le Tour, and looked down the valley. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen, dark blue valley sides on either side with Cham lit up in bright yellow misty haze. I am still kicking myself now for not having my camera with me...
Richard Horn - 08/Jan/07Report Hi Richard - Taken on 1st Jan. We were also at Le Tour on Friday 5th: awesome day eh and great views. And slopes empty and good pow on the Vallorcine side - perfect.
ChrisJD - 08/Jan/07Report I am just so jealous, Chris. That special winter light has resulted in a stunning image. Well done.
