Has Andrew not bothered putting gear in or is that some shocking belaying?

He's probably just finished recounting one of his motorbike stories... hence Dave's apparent loss of will to live, let alone belay.

I don't think that there is much gear you can get in until a little higher.

You can put a large hex in the crack at about that height, but there isn't a lot of point at that height.

actually with some udging before commiting to the layback a bomber nut can be worked in about 2 foot above the level of ledge you rock up to.
