Indeed it is. It was blizzard conditions all day, this was a momentary gap in the clouds.

Hi Dave - this was shot on a Mamiya 645 AFD II with a prime 80mm lens on. Medium format slide film, the slide is 6 X 4.5 cm. No filters.

On my monitor the snow's got lovely cibachrome quality, beautiful!

A truism if ever there was one! What slide film are you using? I know Velvia is very popular with a lot a of landscape photographers, but I tend to prefer the more neutral colours of Provia.

Its actually Kodak Ektachrome E100 VS, i do use Velvia most of the time, some thing a bit quicker is handy for climbing shots, not that speed was an issue with this shot.
