Best Climbing Experience
Finale Groove - abbed down, wandered over to the soaring corner line, gulped - then jumped on the lead. The protection was superb, the moves were secure and there was loads of places to rest. "Focus on performance, not the goal" every time I looked down at the void between my legs - and then had myself pulling over the final few blocks as the realization that I'd finished it slowly set in. Belaying in the sun with an endless vista of blue waves and golden rock, all the while being accosted by caterpillars was the perfect end to my first climb at Boulder Ruckle.
