I started out in climbing by clipping bolts in south wales but learned how to place gear in the mid nineties and have not looked back since. I'm willing to go out in all weathers and adjust grade accordingly... cragging, multi-pitch, ice, mountains, whatever. i sweat loads going uphill and my knees creak coming back down.

I'm keen on individual freedoms, social justice and responsibilities to self and society. I was brought up to challenge and question everything which means that i'm prepared to call out bigots and scumbags where necessary and don't care all that much if people think i'm a dick for doing it.

Location
Toxteth

Best Climbing Experience
Bivvying out with good mates beneath big easy routes and getting early starts on the classics.
Topping out on Lliwedd into the middle of an Irish walking party who demanded to have photos taken with the dehydrated, sweaty, stinking mess I had become.

Favourite Climbing-Related Discussion Topic
comparing climbing to eating out; single pitch cragging is like Tapas, multi pitch climbing is like a full 3 course meal and bouldering is like having a couple of packets of crisps and expecting to feel satisfied...

Interests Outside Climbing
I recently rediscovered mountain biking... suspension and hydraulic brakes make for an infinitely better riding experience ;o)
