Sept 2023 update:

I enjoy Alpinism, and this season I'm looking to gain more experience on some winter routes which get into condition early in the season. I've applied to do the advanced courses at Cogne Opening on the 15th, 16th & 17th of December and would welcome anyone that could come along. I'm also free the following week, so if any routes are in condition on the massif I would be interested in forming a partnership to do these.
If the following are in condition for example:

Using the refuge on Glacier d'Argentiére.

Mont Dolent Petit Viking TD- 4
Les Courtes Swiss Route TD- 4
Austrian Route D 3
Les Droites - Northeast Face Lagarde Couloir D+ 3
Aiguille Verte - North Face Couturier Coulier D 3
Grands Monets Ridge Frendo-Ravanel TD- 4+
Claire-Chazal D+ 4+
Chevalier Couloir AD 2

The Torino hut also has a winter room so I consider similar routes from up there.

Experience and Training:

My Experience: See photos and climbing log.

Training: Previously I completed a 2-week introduction to alpinism course with UCPA, which is how my interest in Alpinism formed. I go out climbing every summer to keep my skills sharp. I am comfortable using crampons on ice and snow, and I can move at different speeds to adapt to the conditions. I've done a few ice climbing courses in the past so climbing on ice is something I also enjoy. I recently practised crevasse rescue in January 2023. I'm booked in to do a level 2 avalanche course in January 2024 with the swiss avalanche system. I am also a competent skier with ski touring experience. I am a member of the Alpine Club and Eagle Ski Club.

Current fitness/ Ability: I run about 40km a week. Climbing wise, mostly indoors, laps of the climbing wall as it's too much faff to go outdoors in London I'm ashamed to say. I prefer to run in the Chiltern hills or the South Downs at the weekend.

If you are interested in climbing together, don't hesitate to get in touch with me. I am always looking for new partners to climb with.

Probably one of the most photographed places in Mont Blanc. Where only Alpinists go and the rest come to watch.

Weissmies final approach is on a beautiful snow arete. Anyone at the top first has a great opportunity for a good picture.
