My maths teacher got me into climbing when I was 14. It was the greatest gift that anyone could ever have given me. Still as keen as ever to for more adventures.

Best Climbing Experience
Climbing the Nose on El Cap probably tops the lot and the Salathe wasn't too bad either. After that its the many trip to UK sea cliffs and mountain crags. Those evenings soloing after work on stanage when the wind drops everything fades away apart from the holds you're stood on and the holds you're going for.
The spring when I was in my mid 20s when I went from leading E1 occassionally to going though the list of Stoney E4s.
Trips to Lundy and Fairhead.
The next trip has to be the best experience however. Now I'm retired there are plenty of those in the pipeline

Interests Outside Climbing
Birdwatching it gets you to go to some of the beautiful places that you never go to when your into climbing. Just love to be on some lonely desolate salt marsh with the hauntingly beautiful sounds of Redshanks and Curlews in the background
