1/2 a size down? I'm 9.5/10 measured feet (L/R). Take an 8 in the Anasazi Velcros as a multipitch shoe and 7.5 when I need a bit more precision. Once broken in the 8's feel very comfy and a well worn 7.5 can stay on all day. A 9 would be like a pair of flippers!
