Not well known in the UK before this trip, they are some of the world's finest trad climbers (however you want to define traditional climbing). Honnold is perhaps the world's top soloist, Jorgeson has a cool head and has soloed up to Fr 9a. Both soloed E9 on their trip to the UK, Meshuga at Black Rocks. Both are students on extended gap years with a bit of sponsorship from climbing companies.
Below is a clip of Kevin Jorgeson soloing hard routes at Rumney in New Hampshire. Rumney is a small cluster of schist craglets, some very steep, on the slopes of Rattlesnake mountain south of Franconia notch and Cannon Cliff in north-west New Hampshire, whose state motto is 'Live Free or Die. I can highly recommend a trip there in the autumn. In fact Rockfax published Rumney's second guidebook in 1996, so I know it well.
Make sure you clip on MORE after the first video. These films were made by the talented American climber, photographer and film maker, Tim Kemple.
