UKClimbing articles cover all aspects of climbing and mountaineering. We publish articles weekly from a variety of authors, both professional and amateur.
If you would like to propose an article for our consideration, then you can do so using the submission form below.
Article proposals are welcome from everyone, no matter how little experience you may have, or whether you've seen similar content on UKC previously.
We require a variety of things in order to assess whether we wish to commission an article or not, all of which are detailed in the submission form. Please read the submission form carefully, and include all the requested details and materials in order to allow us to make an informed decision.
Additional information:
Timescale - we receive a high volume of submissions, and cannot promise to respond to every pitch, although we do try to.
We aim to respond within six weeks of submission. There is a box in the submission form that allows you to inform us if you think that your submission is particularly time sensitive.
Payment - We aim to pay contributors fairly and promptly. Once your article is complete and scheduled for publication, we'll send you a link through which you can submit an invoice.
Word Count and Deadline - These are agreed by editor and author after a work is commissioned.
Avoiding Repetition - please look at existing articles on site to make sure we haven't published a similar article previously. You can use the search link on this page and click on Search in the top right to find older articles items using keyword search.

When uploading a photo to site, you are able to opt in or out of your photos being available for us to use in editorial content and on social media. Please ensure that you select the appropriate option when uploading photos, and if you believe we may have included a photo that you didn't give us permission for, then please contact us here and we'll make sure we remove the image asap.
