The Original Mountain Marathon Training Camp at PyB

On the weekend of 25-26 September Plas y Brenin are dedicating the whole centre to this new and exciting event. It's an information-rich training camp open to everyone from mountain marathon-newcomers who'd simply like to find out how, right up to experienced campaigners looking to fine tune their skills.

The weekend takes a workshop-based approach allowing you to pick and choose the sessions you attend to make sure you get the most out of the event. And there's a huge range of workshops on offer, all delivered by experts in their field.

On top of that there will be evening lectures from guest speakers, a mini-marathon where you can test out your newly honed skills, trade and information stands and the chance to spend a little down time with other runners, talking technique over a pint as you watch the sun drop behind Snowdon from the comfort of the bar.

What's more, every runner attending the training camp will receive a goody bag, bulging with useful bits and pieces to help speed them along on the hill. All of which makes the OMM training camp an absolute must for anyone who's interested in running further or faster this year. Take a look at the list of exciting workshops by clicking the link below to get an idea of how you can benefit from and enjoy the first OMM training camp.

The entire weekend including two night's comfortable accommodation, great food and information-packed workshops is only £160.

Did nobody think to check the an events callender? Its on the same weekend as the RAB.

On the other hand, about 4 times as many people will be doing the OMM as do the RAB.

Which is the main reason that this year I'm doing the RAB and not the OMM.

I'm compromising and doing both :-) This one looks interesting too... http://www.grampoc.com/gmc/index.htm
