If you're an experienced walker and you've often wondered what it feels like to wear crampons or why on earth a walker would carry an ice axe, then why not join PyB and find out. On this practical outdoor day you'll get to try out crampons, use an ice axe and learn when, where and why you should use them. You go through the fundamental techniques you need to keep you safe on snow and ice and find out what is the most appropriate kit to invest in for yourself.
All of this in an enjoyable day out in Snowdonia's winter wonderland costs only £40 per head which includes axe and crampon hire. All you need is to get yourself to Plas y Brenin before 9am prepared for a day out in the hills with suitable winter walking clothing, boots, rucsac and packed lunch.
