Equip Outdoor Technologies Ltd and Lowe Alpine UK Limited specialise in the design and marketing of technical outdoor equipment under the Rab and Lowe Alpine brands respectively. Our experienced and enthusiastic team develop innovative designs, manufactured to the highest standard and brought to market throughout the world.

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to play a key customer service role. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a good practical understanding of the outdoor market and have a personal interest in climbing, mountaineering, trekking or other similar outdoor pursuit. The successful candidate will be customer focused and highly literate and able to multi-task, managing a varied workload in a role that will demand a level headed and practical approach. The role will service both the UK and EU markets, so any experience in speaking German, French or any other major European language would be an advantage but not a requirement.

Key responsibilities
• Administering customer service queries through email and telephone channels, these will be both related to orders and providing technical advice and guidance to customers on a wide range of products
• Order and returns processing
• Liaising with the warehouse in managing orders, shipments and returns.
• Maintaining customer and order/return records
• Other General administration duties as required

Competencies
• Be customer focused
• Along with Email, experience in using Excel and ideally Navision (or a similar system) would be an advantage
• Able to deliver informative, concise and grammatically correct customer correspondence
• A confident telephone manner along with excellent communication skills
• A passion for the outdoors
• Team commitment
• The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
• An additional language would be an advantage.


Experience & Qualifications
• Previous experience of working in an administrative or consumer facing role in the outdoor market would be advantageous, however full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
• A background in Climbing, Mountaineering, Trekking etc would be an advantage
