Nikwax, a leading international manufacturer of waterproofing products for clothing, footwear and outdoor equipment, requires a Trade Marketing Executive to support the increase in demand for Nikwax products.
The Role
You will increase demand for the Nikwax products and services, and positive Nikwax brand awareness by:
- liaising with store merchandising managers and undertaking customer market research to ensure Nikwax’s retail presence is optimised
- planning, developing, distributing and managing in store Point of Sale (POS)
- developing training packages for retail staff and managing their ongoing update
- liaising with distributors to identify and provide marketing support tools and materials
- developing and managing Nikwax presence at UK and international trade shows
The Person
This is a new role within our Group Marketing and Identity team and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual, who is an excellent communicator with good listening and analytical skills to be able to respond to research and feedback from distributors, retailers and consumers. You will have strong organisational skills along with the ability to prioritise multiple deliverables.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, with a marketing qualification such as CIM (or equivalent) and have at least 2-3 years work experience. Ideally you will have experience of international retail marketing and consumer retail behaviour as well as commercial marketing and communications experience. In addition, exposure to planning and implementing trade show representation for international audiences would be a bonus.
The role will be based in Wadhurst in East Sussex and will include a small amount of overseas travel. The successful applicant must be eligible to work in the UK. The salary for this post will be in the region of £30,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
