Reset Part 1 - Indoor Bouldering after the Covid-19 Lockdown
This weekend, climbing walls in England can reopen and businesses up and down the country have been diligently preparing for returning customers. The Covid-19 pandemic has hit the climbing industry hard, and it is certainly not out of the woods yet. While some walls are easily able to implement safety measures, others simply don't have the space or means to make these tough opening conditions viable.
We caught up with Ged at the new Matchworks Climbing Hangar in Liverpool to look at what measures bouldering walls could implement to keep customers and staff safe.
The Association of British Climbing Walls (ABC) has been working with their member climbing walls since the beginning of lockdown on reopening guidelines – a strategy based on three principles:
• Hygiene
• Capacity Management
• Social Distancing
