Addict RC, but not in the Mitchelton Scott coulours. Very pure, clean lines for me.
On aesthetics, anything with massively oversized tubes and very deep wheels is out for me and the rear stays have to connect to the down tube by the cross bar.
Yet again the Secret Pro provides an an answer... or at least a shortlist in this case:
"As for the bikes themselves, the common knowledge [among the peloton] is that Specialized, Trek, Canyon, and BMC are a step above everyone else. Sure Giant, Bianchi, Cervelo, and Pinarello are great, but when it comes down to millimetres, a brilliant bike can make all the difference."
> Like Italian sports car. You just want without the thoughts of why!!
Love bikes, love cycling, but just can't get excited by different brands etc. OK I'm aware that sky use Pinarello dogmas but other than that I couldn't tell you who uses what. Other than the fact that Aqua Blue aren't very happy being lab rats.
Likewise I can't understand why people go weak at the knees for downtube shifters. I had bikes with those, and they were a pain

The clue is in the name for BMC Racing, EFd....Cannondale, Mitchelton Scott, Trek Segafredo
i have an R3SL and I’d go for a cervelo again. I’ve borrowed a couple of spesh tarmacs and they’re just a bit too stiff, though they’d be on the list. I’ve seen a few of the modern Look frames and they are beautiful in the flesh.
You have just missed the Cyclist magazine track day, where you could have tested lots of world-class bikes. We did the first in London two years ago and fell in love with the Bianchi Specialissima, which felt quite superb from the first turn of the pedals. Having hankered after a naughty Italian hooligan bike for some time I treated myself to one for my 60th birthday and it has transformed my road riding; it is an amazing climber's bike, light, stiff yet comfortable and fast. It climbs like a goat and descends like the horsemen of the Apocalypse. It gives me joy every time I ride it and at 62 I need all the help I can get!
Interesting choice for everyone. Expected a few people going Pinarellos. Thought a few team Sky supporters would be lusting for them.
Never had the privilege to ride any expensive super bikes. Would like to have a ride a compare against the Canyon I ride and see what the extra cash gets me.
