Just a heads-up re ticks ...  Got one on my leg from bouldering at Curbar this week. With all the vegetation hanging over paths there's plenty of opportunity for them to get onto you...  Worth a check at the end of the day - especially with so many deer about....

I've been dealing with Lymes disease since 12th September, it's been really noticeable and pretty shit, don't take it for granted!

This book may be of interest to you Spenser. It details some herbal remedies, that helped me in addition to the antibiotics.

Thanks, I am feeling a lot better now, however I have run out of antibiotics again. They're doing the blood test a second time in 2 weeks as it didn't show up the first time (although the rash did).

I hope your recovery goes OK. I've been checking and no rash/red ring round the site. Where did you pick up Lymes?

Round of the Ben Lawers Munros I think, although it might have been on the way back down from Stob Coire Easain/ Stob a'choire Meadhoin as I found 14 of the little blighters on my jacket that day!

Which antibiotic do they have you on? A recent study found that azlocillin completely destroys the bacteria that causes it.

>After screening thousands of drugs, researchers have found one that completely eliminates the bacteria that causes Lyme disease, a study with mice shows.
