Come to our next gathering of Peak District climbers and walkers and get involved in the BMC.

Date: Wednesday 18 March 2020, starting at 7.30pm
Venue: The Norfolk Arms, Ringinglow, Sheffield, S11 7TS

Area meetings are run by volunteers and provide an opportunity for you to discuss issues and influence decisions affecting climbers and walkers locally and nationally, and to meet like-minded people and enjoy a sociable night out.

All are welcome; food will be provided by the BMC, available from 6.30pm.

Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that our meeting is this week. There is plenty going on in the Peak District at the moment, so you can expect plenty of news about the future of Stanage  other access issues, and an update on the ORG progress.

After the meeting we will be joined for a talk by Jesse Dufton - this guy: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://ww... which promises to be a real highlight.

A quick note on the meeting in light of Coronavirus / Covid-19. We have given a lot of thought about whether to go ahead with the meeting or not, and decided that doing so doesn't contravene current advice. Obviously if you're in a high risk category you may choose to not attend.

In line with the latest announcement and government advice, clearly there is no responsible option other than to cancel the meeting.
