I should've clarified that i was mid-watch and wanted to know if i dare invest any empathy in the characters, only to suffer emotional trauma in the event of a non-happy ending, or the converse.
I'm finding it increasingly difficult to cope with films that are sad, on a real-life, human level. I blame fatherhood.
